If you the features are what you are looking for just go for it.br /br /Needless to refer Denon for high quality audio products.br /br /Quality of equipment and finish is great. 40Gb is a lot of room for music, excellent response time to all commands, nice look, easy to use. Accepting usb keyboard for easily searching music (by artist, song, playlist, etc - and it is fast) is also great.br /br /The only down side is the Denon software used for syncronization... once it really does not syncronize your computer with the player (instead, it allows you to copy music from one place to the other) - so a simple thing like adding a song to a playlist become a complex thing. Instead of sincronizing, you have to remember the playlists you edited in the computer, delete the entire playlist from the device and copy it again...

The Denon DN-HD2500 is a hard-disc music storage and DJ controller system. The compact unit fits into a standard 19-inch rack and offers a portable alternative to lap-top systems, CDs and vinyl records. The HD-2500 features a 40GB internal hard-drive for storing huge libraries of mp3 files. The unit also supports mass-storage USB devices such as iPods, portable hard-drives, mp3 players and more. Multiple mass-storage devices may be connected via a USB-hub (not included). The DN-HD2500 also includes Music Manager PC software for transferring, storing and filing titles. The DN-HD2500 is more than just a means to access thousands of titles. Four user effects feature flange, filter, echo and echo/loop effects for flexible, real-time audio manipulation during sets. Two platters are used to cue, play, scratch and reverse audio. Two pitch controls are used for seamless beat mixing and are both adjustable at 24%, 50% and 100% ranges.
